Context-independent mapping and free choice are equivalent: a general proof

چکیده
Abstract Free choice (or statistical independence) assumption in a hidden variable model (HVM) means that the settings chosen by experimenters do not depend on values of variable. The context-independent (CI) mapping an HVM results measurement for other measurements. If measurements are spacelike separated, this is known as local causality. Both free and CI assumptions considered necessary derivation Bell-type criteria contextuality/nonlocality. It known, however, variety special cases, two logically independent. We show here, complete generality, any system random variables with or without disturbance/signaling, postulates equivalent to choice. one denies possibility given empirical scenario can be described which measurements’ settings, violations should denied too, vice versa.

متن کاملOn a Free-Choice Equivalent of a Petri Net
A Petri net (PN) 2, 3] is said to be live if it is possible to re any transition from every reachable marking, although not necessarily immediately. In this paper we consider the issue of enforcing liveness in non-live PNs via supervisory control. Using a construction procedure , similar to that in reference 1], that converts an arbitrary PN into an equivalent member of a family of PNs called F...

A general impossibility result on strategy-proof social choice hyperfunctions
A social choice hyperfunction picks a non-empty set of alternatives at each admissible preference profile over sets of alternatives. We analyze the manipulability of social choice hyperfunctions. We identify a domain D of lexicographic orderings which exhibits an impossibility of the Gibbard-Satterthwaite type. Moreover, this impossibility is inherited by all well-known superdomains of D. As mo...
متن کاملAn Application of Independent , Increasing , Free - Choice
The class of Independent, Increasing, Free-Choice Petri nets (II-FCPNs) was introduced in reference Sre97c], where it is shown that any II-FCPN can be made live via supervision using a readily available policy. In a live Petri net (PN) Pet81, Rei85], it is possible to re any transition from every reachable marking, although not necessarily immediately. In this paper we identify a class of PNs, ...
